History of Bombay Bar & Grill
bombaybarb.gif (53795 bytes)
Bombay Bar and Grill in Lee, MA is our first foray into the beautiful Berkshire County. The restaurant nestles by a lake with panoramic views of the water and the adjoining countryside.
It is but a short drive to Kripalu the Yoga Center, to the town of  Great Barrington, to Tanglewood located in Lenox,  to Jacob's Pillow in Becket and  to the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge. The Outlet Mall in Lee is nearby and so are skiing resorts of Catamount and Butternut.
In line with all our other restaurants, this is a fine dining restaurant with a full liquor license. We have also continued our tradition of doing quality dishes from the entire sub-continent, spanning grilled meats from our Tandoor, reminiscent of the cooking style of the Hindu Kush mountains in what is now Pakistan, on to rich but mild Mughal curries from the north Indian plains, down to the fiery and tangy sauces of the Malabar and Coromandel coasts of South India. In line with all Indian restaurants, but particularly all our restaurants, there is an extensive vegetarian selection amongst our appetizers and entrees, but meat eaters will also not be disappointed with our menu, richly laden as it is with meat, chicken and seafood dishes.
In addition to the skiing mecca nearby for winter enthusiasts, the Berkshires are a veritable summer wonderland that includes all the destinations mentioned above, but also locally in the summer you can boat to your hearts content on the lake( reasonable rentals are available from the Black Swan Inn) by which our restaurant is situated.
