History of Positano's in Westport

Positano's was born in downtown Westport in January 2001. In March 2002 it moved to its present location where it  sits on the beach edge overlooking the Long Island Sound in Westport, CT. This charming and romantic restaurant has been a favorite for many years. It was originally Cafe de la Plage. Changing hands several times, it was in 2000? completely renovated from the ground up.and re-opened with window walls of glass, Carribean sea blue and coral walls with murals of sea birds and gulls, scance lighting and a view from every table.


The food is served as spectacularly as the scenery and tastes even better.
The service is gracious and attentive, but we can only tell you. Please do come and dine with us yourself! Positano's is Positively one of the best!

Catering: Positano's will cater your private party on or off premises. On premises for up to 75 and off premises for up to 150. You can choose from items off the regular menus or customize.

From Route 136 Downtown Westport (Post Road North) - At the Gulf Gas Station and McDonalds turn right onto Hills Point Road at the light. Go to the 4 way stop and go straight. At the next 4 way stop go straight again still continuing on Hills Point Road. Positano's is on the left hand site.

From Route 1 (Post Road South) - At the Gulf Gas Station and McDonalds turn left onto Hills Point Road at the light. Go to the 4 way stop and go straight. At the next 4 way stop go straight again still continuing on Hills Point Road. Positano's is on the left hand site.

From I-95 Northbound - Exit 18. Take a left at the light at the end of the ramp. Go to  the second light. Go left onto Greens Farms Rd. Go to the four way stop. Turn left onto Hills Point Rd. We are in the yellow house after the stop sign by the deli.

From I-95 Southbound -   Exit 18. Follow the ramp to the second light. Go left onto Greens Farms Rd. Go to the four way stop. Turn left onto Hills Point Rd. We are in the yellow house after the stop sign by the deli.

From Merritt Parkway Northbound - Exit 41. (Rt. 33 Westport/Wilton). Take left at light. Follow to next light. (intersects Rt.1) Go straight at the intersection. At the next light go left onto Riverside Ave. Go left over the bridge onto Route 136. Go straight at the next light. At the four way intersection take a right onto hills Point Rd.
