The copper penny inn is an 1860's farmhouse that has been converted to an inn. The inn offers elegant accommodations in a comfortable, relaxed environment. Located on route 376 by Vassar College in the town of Poughkeepsie. The inn is convenient to IBM, Vassar college, Marist college the culinary institute of America, historic Hyde park, estates of the Hudson, Dia Beacon, Millbrook, Rhinebeck, duchess county, hunt county, antiques and auctions and the scenic Shawangunk mountains. The living room is a perfect spot to relax, in winter, fires are kept burning in the both the living room and dining room. A gourmet breakfast is included and served in the dining room or the outdoor terrace in season. A fully appointed pantry is available for guests' convenience. Additional facilities included a large stone terrace and screened porch and 12 wooded acres with trails to streams and a pond. All of the guest rooms contain a private bath, television with VCR, telephone and wireless high speed internet access.
