Lobsterbakes caters, prepares and serves
lobster, clam, and oyster feasts at
just about any location along the Greater
New Haven, CT, Shoreline. Established in
1995, we've served over 7,500 lobster/steak
dinners. Seeking a venue? We also offer
dinner cruises of the picturesque Thimble
Islands aboard local tour boats, and a huge
deck overlooking Guilford Harbor as
candidates. We're popular for wedding
receptions, graduation, office parties,
picnics, receptions, fund-raisers and
corporate events and special events of all
kinds. No fuss, no muss, just yummy in your
tummy! Surprisingly affordable.
Special
Occasions Deserve Special Meals!

To arrange an affordable
feast for 8 or more, prepared and served at
your home, business, club, island, marina, –
or aboard a Thimble Islands tour boat – just
call Lobster Mike! At the appointed hour the
Lobstermobile will arrive and soon you’ll be
feasting on Local Clams and Oysters, New
England Clam Chowder, followed by a 1.25-lb.
Steamed Native Lobster, Sweet Corn, Baked
Potato and Salad.
But, I
Really Don’t Like Lobster!”

While lobsters are our
specialty, we also offer Ribyeye Steaks,
Grilled Chicken Breast and Shrimp entrees.
The steak and shrimp entrees are priced like
lobster, the chicken is $5 less per plate.
We request a 6-unit minimum for entrees
other than lobster. We will grill on your
grille at no additional cost. If rental of a
larger grille is required, there is an
additional charge.
“Did I Mention, There Are Only 8 of Us?”

Not a problem. For parties
of 8-20, we typically prepare the food at
our commissary and deliver it in high-tech
thermal carriers at the appointed hour. The
food will hold at serving temperature for an
hour or more. For larger groups, we break
out the Lobstermobile which has on board
everything necessary for a complete feast
for up to 200 guests!
“My Yard is Too Small For a Party!”

No biggie. We can hold
your event on a large deck overlooking
beautiful Guilford Harbor, or on a Thimble
Islands tour boat for a 2-hour Daytime or
Sunset Cruise. (Take a minute and visit the
boats’ websites at: Sea Mist,

www.thimbleislands.com.) In either
location, we provide our customary dinner as
described elsewhere. The price is the same,
plus a modest service charge.
"Look Martha, it’s A Lobstermobile!"

With everything on board
to mount a feast at which you, too, will
feel like a guest! Plates, cups, cutlery,
bibs, moist towelettes, we do it all. And,
we take our garbage away when it’s over. We
don’t need electricity, but a hose is handy.
We arrive about an hour before service,
present the food buffet-style, and pitch in
to keep the tables neat. We use high-quality
single-use tableware, but we can upgrade
upon request.
Children?
We Prefer them Grilled

Only kidding, folks, only
kidding. But, we do offer a number of
options for the little nippers. A Hamburg
Dinner includes Chowder, Hamburger, Sweet
Corn and Salad. A Hamburg Plate includes
Hamburger, Sweet Corn and Salad. A Hot Dog
Dinner includes Chowder, 2 Hummel’s Dogs,
Sweet Corn and Salad. A Hot Dog Plate
includes 2 Hummel’s Dogs, Corn and Salad.
We Do It All – On Time &
With Panache!
   
We arrive about an hour
before service with everything necessary for
complete service (there are actually 81
items required to mount a proper Lobsterbake).
Service takes about an hour and a half in
relaxed fashion. We use highest-quality,
singleserve dinnerware, tableware and
cutlery. While we’re cleaning up our stuff,
we’ll bus your tables and take the remains
away with us. No fuss, no muss!
What Don’t
We Do?

We do not provide beverage
service, but will provide a bartender and
advise as to ordering and vendors. We do not
provide coffee and dessert service, except
by arrangement. We do not provide “table
service,” but we will bus the tables and
keep the carnage to a minimum. We do not
cling inflexibly to the above, so ask. We’re
in this to have a good time, too!
Where Do I Sign?

Not so fast. First, you
have to call Lobster Mike (203)-488-3711 and
make sure someone else hasn’t reserved your
date. Then there’s the matter of cost. As of
06/15/08, the 1.25-lb. Lobster, Ribeye and
Shrimp Entrees are $50 per guest; the
Grilled Chicken Breast entree is $40 per
guest. That does not includes sales tax or a
gratuity. Call ASAP, the weekends fill up
quickly!
